I don't know much about wavelets really, but did spend sometime looking at them once - way back in another life. The company I worked for produced digital watermarking software and we were looking to see if we could watermark video. We did a sort of pilot study with a company called Telemedia who were Cambridge based to see if we could come up with something that was mutually beneficial. the results were mixed and I can't say they became customers of ours on a billion dollar per year contract but there were some successes. The main difficulty was that the eye "latency" picked up invariant features of the watermark between frames - on the other hand if we jiggled the watermark around it was like adding noise to the picture. It was difficult to strike a balance. Anyway I only mentioned it all not to tell you what we did, but to tell you about this Telemedia company. As I recall they had some pretty funky proprietary software/tech for wavelets and it might well be worth your while checking them out if you're into that sort of thing. Unfortunately I also have a nagging suspicion that they may have changed their name. Nice picture of Lena by the way. It's been a while since I saw her. Have you seen the full picture?
